Each of the grape varieties that have been used in this blend, Pinot Noir, Grenache and Mataro (aka Mourvedre) produces good rosé in their own right. It is an unusual blend, although it works well here. There is a little sparkle to this pale salmon bronze hued rosé wine. It is redolent of summer with its strawberries, cream and spice aromas with some added raspberry flavours on the finish. As a soft, crisp, fruity rosé this is a refreshing wine and has a smooth silkiness underlining the texture. Served chilled on a warm summer’s day, this is rather welcome.
